The new entry is titled Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r]  (which you read “clear”) and it’ll come in early 2020. Platforms have not been announced yet.

The game was presented on stage directly by French Bread Battle Planner Kamone Serizawa.

A new brand new ice-using character named Londrekia will be introduced to the roster alongside a completely new balance, said to be a good entry point for those who want to get into the franchise.

A demo of the game will be showcased at a future event, alongside, and more details have been promised down the line as well.

You can check out the announcement trailer below.

Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] was pretty much the big surprise when the organizers of EVO announced the 2019 edition’s lineup back in February, so it’s not surprising that French Bread decided to bring forth the big guns for the event.

It’ll be interesting if the appearance on the big stage will enlarge the cult community behind the franchise. For now, things certainly appear to be getting interesting.
