General Director Daisuke Ishiwatari walked the stage to announce a brand new Guilty Gear game.

Ishiwatari-san admitted that the teaser trailer (which you can enjoy below) is a little short, but he mentioned that he wanted to let fans know where he’s at. No further information was provided beside a list of the staff and the fact that the game is built with Unreal Engine 4. One relevant element that was shared is that the game is coming in 2020. No platforms were revealed.

The announcement was teased earlier today and Arc System Works did indeed deliver, as you can see below.

The latest iteration of Guilty Gear is dated 2017, with Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2. Looks like it’s time for something new, and Daisuke Ishiwatari appears to be ready to bring forth the big guns with veteran fighters and new ones.

This wasn’t the only announcement made by Arc System Works at EVO 2019. Earlier today we saw the announcement of BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle 2.0, which will add nine new characters including some from Senran Kagura and Akatsuki Blitzkampf, on top of balance updates and more.
