This time around we get to enjoy an extended look at an action battle starring Ayanami, Ping Hai, and Prinz Eugen in the main fleet, with the support of Akashi, Ning Hai, and Z23.

As you can notice, you don’t need to put only light ships in the main fleet, and you can have destroyers and cruisers in the support fleet as well. This is one of the main differences with the mobile game. Otherwise, the gameplay is nearly a perfect transition of what we’re used to on iOS and Android.

A second video shows more story gameplay, including a story battle.

You can check it out below.

If you want to see more gameplay, you should definitely check out the videos released yesterday, showcasing both normal and hard mode, on top of some of the story.

Azur Lane: Crosswave will launch on the Japanese shelves on August 29, 2019, for PS4. A western release has recently been announced for 2020.

If you’re unfamiliar with the original Azur Lane game, it’s a free-to-play mobile horizontal scrolling shooter/RPG hybrid currently available for iOS and Android.

If you’re interested in the franchise as a whole, you can also check out our report of the event Yostar organized in Yokosuka, Japan.
