GTA Online Diamond Casino & Resort Launches Next Week; New Trailer Introduces Gameplay & Story

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

The long wait for Los Santos’ anticipated Diamond Casino & Resort is nearly over. Rockstar Games today announced the new content will arrive for GTA Online next week, July 23. A typically rambunctious trailer introduced us to some of the expansions’ new gameplay and story beats, while Rockstar themselves provided additional information in a press release.

The Diamond Casino & Resort promises more story missions, casino and resort activities, Penthouse access, and various Twitch Prime benefits for players. The facility lies on the corner of Vinewood Park Drive and Mirror Boulevard, and it’s absolutely huge.

Gameplay & Story Details

A roomy casino floor allows players to try their hand in all the classic games you’d expect to see: Poker, Blackjack, Roulette, and slot machines to name a few. Chips won can be turned into cash, of course, and there’s plenty of other stuff up for grabs by spinning the Lucky Wheel, like cash, clothing, and the new Truffade Thrax supercar.

If you haven’t a snazzy enough pair of clothes to strut your stuff then the Casino Store provides a range of new outfits and accessories for players to throw money at.

For those wanting a more permanent residency at this Los Santos’ new sin city, The Diamond has a Master Penthouse apartment that provides more perks than just fancy views and an infinity pool. You’ll also get VIP access to exclusive Lounges, High-Limit tables, plus a range of special services via the Penthouse phone including aircraft and limousine services and more.

We hear there are customization options that allow players to renovate the floorplans, too, a private Spa with a round-the-clock personal stylist, a Bar and Party area perfect for hosting raging Member Parties and featuring private retro arcade games, and a Media Room.

As an owner, you can select the Penthouse’s color palette and patterns, and cement a place among the LS nouveau riche with a range of modern art from the Casino Store – from refined portraiture to pop art and daring modern sculpture – that can all be moved and placed around your property.

Importantly, unlocking the Master Penthouse kicks the expansions’ story content into gear. Rockstar explains:

“With a Master Penthouse you’ll also become a member of The Diamond family, and the family business needs your attention. Help property owner Tao Cheng and The Diamond staff protect their investment from the clutches of a corrupt family of Texan petrochemical magnates in a series of all new co-operative missions.

Each mission pays out special Awards for first-time completion and hosting the entire story thread will reward you with a highly coveted, brand-new vehicle free of charge. You can also pickup additional work and odd jobs to earn extra cash and chips with a quick phone call to the Diamond’s head of operations, Agatha Baker.”

Last but not least, linking your Social Club account with Twitch Prime will net you free benefits if you do so before end of day on July 19th. Specifically, you’ll get the Master Penthouse for free in the Diamond Casino & Resort, as well as receive GTA$1.25M and up to 15% extra GTA$ on purchases of Shark Cash Cards.

Today’s announcement follows an initial announcement made last month. Rockstar Games has also been busy updating its other online action game, Red Dead Online; earlier this month new content the Explorer Care Package, New Clothes, and Twitch Prime Benefits.
