We get to see new key artwork for the game featuring “the game’s infamous villain Sephiroth, set against a burning Midgar skyline.”

We also get an official description of the game, just in case you’re completely unfamiliar with it.

“Rebuilding and expanding upon the legendary RPG for today, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE tells the story of a world fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic adventures that await him.”

The press release also mentions that more information about the game will come tomorrow, at Square Enix Live E3 2019 presentation.

Interestingly the announcement mentions that the game will “debut first” on PS4, which seems to leave the door open for other platforms down the line.

The presentation will be hosted at  6:00pm Pacific/9:00pm Eastern and can be watched here.

You can check the artwork out just below.

The first episode of the Final Fantasy VII Remake will release on March 3, 2020, for PS4.
