Today Idea Factory International released a new trailer of Compile Heart’s upcoming JRPG Dragon Star Varnir.
The trailer provides an overview before the launch of the title, starting with the story and the main character Zephy, followed by an extensive presentation of the gameplay.
We learn of Zephy has a reason to hate both dragons and witches, which are deeply linked in the world of the game. Yet, his life is saved by a witch thanks to the blood of a dragon.
This causes him to go from hunter to hunted as enemies become friends and friends become enemies.
The gameplay itself is strongly rooted in the relationships between witches and dragons and comes with some rather unique mechanics that are illustrated in the video.

Dragon Star Varnir will release in just a few days on June 11 in North America, while European fans will have to wait three days longer until June 14. The game is coming exclusively for PS4, at least for now.
