We get to take a look at the extensive athlete customization options included in the game.

The player can customize his own athlete and all the team members, saving up to 100 styles in the locker room.

80 countries are available to choose from, and you can start by selecting a base style to customize. This does not affect performance.

Body types include Muscular, Average, and plump, and each can be adjusted in height, thickness, and muscle mass. A variety of physiques can be created from children to adults, with 14 preset skin tones that also allow for further fine tuning.

Faces can also be customized with plenty of elements like hairstyles, eyes, freckles and many more. On top of choosing each part, you can adjust the position, size, density, and more.

There are also 20 voices available, but you can increase variety by changing the pitch.

On top of the look, you can also customize your athlete’s performance. Power types have high power but slow speed, Speed types have low technique, and Technique types have low power. Each type has three different variations.

For certain sports, you can also select whether your athlete is right or left-handed, and for baseball you can select right or left for pitching and batting. Of course, you can also select their name.

There are 100 clothing items including 20 costumes and 10 hats/eyewear that can be unlocked by playing. Costumes can be set for each athlete and there is even a copy/paste feature allowing you to easily transfer sets among your team.

Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – The Official Video Game launches in Japan on July 24 for PS4 and Switch and is also coming west next year with additional platforms, precisely PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
