What Fortbytes Are in Fortnite?

Introduced in Fortnite Season 9, Fortbytes are a new collectible to be found on the island of Fortnite Battle Royale. Each day, a new one is unlocked.

Sometimes, they require players to reach a certain amount of XP. Sometimes they require players to solve a riddle. There’s often some kind of task to be completed before obtaining the item.

When players collect 90 of the 100, they’ll unlock the special Utopia Battle Star skin for the season. Considering how awesome that skin is, jumping into the game daily to find one is very important.

Where to Find Fortbyte at a Meteor Crater Overlook — F5

As you might have guessed, there’s really only one place this Fortbyte could have been — Dusty Divot. It’s been the site of a massive crater basically since the game’s start and now it’s the site of Fortbyte 31.

Specifically, you need to head to F5 on the map which is where the Dusty Divot warehouse-like building is located.

It’s best to head straight here from the battle bus. Fly in toward the building and do your best to go in through the hole in the building’s ceiling.

As you fly in through this hole, you should see the Fortbyte glowing on the upper balcony platform. Glide right into it and pick it up.

The Fortbyte can be picked up by pressing X on Xbox One, Square on PS4, Y on Switch and E on PC. These are the buttons to interact with collectibles such as these.
