During the Sony’s “State of Play” broadcast aired by the house of PlayStation, the game finally got a new trailer.

You can see it below alongside a few official screenshots, showing both cutscenes and gameplay, and promising more information to come in June (likely at Square Enix’s own E3 presentation).

I have to say, the game looks absolutely gorgeous, and I can’t wait to see more. My hands are literally shaking as I write this. I’m not even kidding.

Incidentally, I also included the version of the trailer in Japanese, in case you prefer the original voices.

The game was announced all the way back at E3 2015, but development was partly rebooted due to Square Enix shifting it back in-house.

At the end of 2018,  Director Tetsuya Nomura and Producer Yoshinori Kitase teased upcoming news, and the publisher indeed delivered the goods.

Recently, we also heard that Mobius Final Fantasy Project Leader Naoki Hamaguchi has been promoted to co-director for the project.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake has been announced only for PS4 and doesn’t have a release window just yet.
