Dauntless has finally launched fully on PC and consoles, allowing you to jump into the world to battle Behemoths and upgrade your gear. Much like the Monster Hunter series, the PvE gameplay is the focus, but with it being an online free-to-play game, you might be wondering if there is a way to fight against others players. Here is everything you need to know about whether there is PvP in Dauntless.
Is There PvP in Dauntless? Answered
As of right now, a few weeks after the game fully launched, there is no PvP content in Dauntless, and there has been no suggestion of it being worked on to arrive in the future.
Since Dauntless’ design is so focused on working towards taking down a Behemoth, which is a computer controlled character, either alone or with a team of other players, it wouldn’t really make sense for PvP to be added. It’s not really how the game has been designed.
Of course, that doesn’t mean that PvP will never ever come to Dauntless. Other similar titles, such as Evolve, added a PvP element after launch after fans asked for it.
Evolve and its PvP mode didn’t prove to be particularly popular, but if fans shout for it to be added to Dauntless, it’s always possible. Dauntless has proven to be very popular since it launched too.
