Following the top-twenty charts released on Wednesday, Media Create posted its weekly Analysts, focusing on the performance of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
According to the firm, the PS4 version of the game sold through to customers 82.63% of its initial shipment as of the end of its first week on the shelves on March 24.
We also heard that its roughly 158,000 units sold are more or less the same as Bloodborne’s debut (153,000) in March 2015.
Media Create argues that this is a “strong start” despite being a new IP, thanks to attracting fans of Bloodborne and of the Dark Souls franchise.

So far, it certainly seems that FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki have managed to pull another great game out of their collective hat. It’ll be interesting to see if it’ll continue selling over the next weeks, but the game’s debut certainly appears very strong.
