Murder Detective Jack the Ripper

Murder Detective Jack the Ripper for PS4 and Switch Gets New Trailer Introducing Jack

Today Nippon Ichi software released a brand new trailer of its upcoming visual novel/adventure game Murder Detective Jack the Ripper.

The trailer introduces Jack the Ripper himself. He’s allegedly a spirit haunting the protagonist’s mind, trying to make him stray from the path of an honest detective and into that of a murderer.

The whole game is based on the balance between those two paths, and the decisions of the player will lead protagonist Arthur Hewitt one way or the other, also heavily influencing the outcome of the story.

Basically, this appears to be a much, much darker and bloodier version of the classic Ace Attorney detective adventure. Given what we have seen so far, it certainly looks quite promising.

You can check out the trailer below and see if it intrigues you. If you want to see more, you can enjoy the first trailer and images released a few weeks ago, and another extensive gallery of screenshots showing the first case.

Murder Detective Jack the Ripper will be released in Japan for PS4 and Nintendo Switch on April 25. A western release has not been announced yet, but hopefully, NIS America won’t take too long to make an announcement on this front.
