Granblue Fantasy and Project Awakening Developer Shows its Facilities and More in new Video

Today Cygames, known to be the developer behind the Granblue Fantasy series, the upcoming Project Awakening, and quite a few more games, released an interesting video.

The video showcases the games released and in development at the company, and a look at its facilities. It’s interesting because I don’t think many in the west realize just yet what a powerhouse Cygames actually has become in Japan.

Besides taking a look at the breadth of content that the developer produces between video games (both on mobile and consoles), anime, and manga, we see some of the equipment they have, and it’s pretty impressive.

This includes a 3D scan studio with 209 cameras which can produce five billion pixels of data per scan, a motion capture studio with 72 16 megapixel camera capable of producing a theoretical maximum of twenty actors, and a sound studio that can record up to fifty people at the same time.

We also take a look at the giant development floor at Cygames’ headquarters in Shibuya, Tokyo. That being said, it’s even more impressive in person.

You can check out the video below, alongside the song Paradise’s Lust from Granblue Fantasy’s upcoming soundtrack album “Chaos” as a bonus.

Besides working on the mobile game Granblue Fantasy, Cygames is at work on three PS4 games including Project Awakening, Granblue Fantasy Versus, and Granblue Fantasy Relink. They just revealed a new character for Versus a few days ago, and the game is supposed to launch in 2019.
