How to Get More Javelins in Anthem

Recommended Videos

Anthem is the latest online multiplayer RPG from BioWare, and in it, players get to fly around the world in cool suits known as Javelins. Here’s what you need to know about how to get more Javelins in Anthem.

As mentioned before, the Javelin is essentially the suit that your character hops into before going on a mission. At the very start of the game, you’ll be allowed to choose one of four options, as listed below:

  • Storm
  • Ranger
  • Colossus
  • Interceptor

This decision is pretty important, as you’ll be locked into it for a short while, at least until you level up a bit more. The Storm Javelin is focused on elemental abilities, the Colossus is more meant for tanky builds, the Interceptor is for people who like to go fast, and the Ranger is an all-rounder, AKA the one you choose when you can’t make up your mind.

Thankfully, it is indeed possible to get more Javelins in Anthem.

At Pilot level 2, you get to pick your very first suit. You’ll be able to unlock the rest of the Javelins when you hit Pilot levels 8, 16, and 26.

With that in mind, this means that you won’t have to worry too much about missing out on the other Javelins. If you happen to despise the one you picked at level 2, you’ll have a chance to swap to the other ones once you’ve leveled up enough.

However, do keep in mind that each suit has different components, and they all require different crafting materials. For instance, the Storm suit requires you to have Storm parts if you want to craft components to enhance those Javelin-specific abilities. Keep that in mind as you start to think about customizing your different builds in Anthem.

Equipping a Different Javelin

Once you’ve got all your different Javelins unlocked, you can start creating different loadouts and equipping them at the Forge.

Head to the Forge at Fort Tarsis, then press the R key to access your unlocked suits. The button prompt can be found at the bottom left corner of the Forge screen. From here, just pick the suit you want to equip and you’re all set.
