SNK 40th Anniversary Collection Coming to PS4 in March

SNK 40th Anniversary Collection

NIS America has just announced that the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection will be available in the US to PS4 owners on March 19, 2019. The announcement came in the form of a nostalgic retro-themed trailer that includes footage of a few of the games in the collection.

This SNK Anniversary Collection was initially released on the Nintendo Switch in November 2018, but it had not been confirmed for other consoles. The PS4 version will include all 24 of the games found in the Switch collection and DLC at launch.

Originally, Switch players had to wait a month before receiving the final 11 games as free DLC, but luckily this will not be the case for the new PS4 release.

Also announced was a PS4 Limited Edition SNK 40th Anniversary Collection that is now available for pre-order.

Just like the limited edition for Switch, players who purchase this bundle will get a physical copy of the collection, a “40th Anniversary Art Collection” Hardcover Art Book, a “Nostalgic Music Collection” Soundtrack, a Collector’s Box, and 13 Art Prints.

The limited edition is available for pre-order at $64.99, and the standard version will be sold for $39.99. It is also worth noting that EU and ANZ SNK fans will have to wait a few extra days for the PS4 collection. Currently, the EU release date is listed as March 22, and the ANZ launch will be on March 29.
