No sweat though, as we are here to help you find the missing piece to these door puzzles. Here is everything you need to know about how to get the Spade Key is Resident Evil 2.
The Spade Key is a large silver key, named as such because of its handle forms the shape of a spade. This item is one of four card-suit-themed keys you’ll be required to pick up to progress throughout Resident Evil 2.
In order to locate the key, you need to make your way to the third floor. First, head toward the Reception area.
Once you’ve passed Reception, go through the Operations Room and climb through the window. This will lead you to the other side of the first floor west corridor.
Now that you are in the west corridor, take the staircase all the way up to the third floor. The key will be placed on the table in the small room right at the top of the stairs.
With the Spade Key in hand, you’ll now be able to open two specific doors located within the R.P.D. Building.
File Storage and the Lounge
The first door you can open is File Storage, which can be found on the first floor of the Police Station. In it, you’ll find Ink Ribbon, Patrol Report, Square Crank, and 1 × Hand Gun Bullets (Leon only).
The other door opens up the Lounge, located on the second floor of the Police Station. There is plenty to find in here – stuff we won’t spoil – but this also leads to being able to access the Library and Office Corridor.
