Where to Get the Electronic Spare Parts in Resident Evil 2

Recommended Videos

Resident Evil 2 tasks you with collecting a lot of items hidden throughout different parts of the map in order to progress. Here is everything you need to know about where to get the electronic spare parts in Resident Evil 2.

Electronic spare parts are one of those necessary pieces of equipment, as both Leon and Claire will need to find them in order access important rooms.

The Clock Tower (Both Characters)

The first of the electronic spare parts can be found by both characters. This item is located in the Clock Tower.

In order to access this location for both characters, you’ll need to get the Tool from the Operations Room. This area can be accessed with the Heart Key using Clair, or the Club Key with Leon.

Once you’ve got the Tool, head to the Library. Once there, use the item to release the bookcase, allowing you to line up the three bookcases and make a path you can walk across on the third floor.

Walk over the bookcases to reach the third floor of the Main Hall. You’ll now have access to the Clock Tower.

The next step requires you to have the Large Gear, which can be found in the East Storage Room. Place the Large Gear on the mechanism to the right when you enter the Clock Tower and it’ll activate a set of stairs in the room.

Before you head up the stairs, grab the Large Gear from the mechanism. At the top of the stairs, you’ll receive the Small Gear.

Pick up the Small Gear and put the Large Gear in the mechanism in its place. Go back down the stairs and place the Small Gear in the other mechanism near the bell, activating it and rewarding you with Electronic Parts.

Generator Room and East Storage Room

For the second set of electronic spare parts in Resident Evil 2, Leon and Claire will have to travel to different locations. Each seeks the Parking Lot Keycard that is necessary to advance the plot.

When controlling Leon, players can find the second part in the Generator Room in the Parking Garage area. Finding Claire’s second part is a little more lengthy, requiring two keys to access it.

First, you’ll need to grab the Diamond Key from the Morgue in order to activate the elevator landing. Activating the elevator takes Claire from the Parking Garage to the Chief’s Office.

Once in the Chief’s Office, she’ll find the Heart Key. Using this will allow her to exit the office and head upstairs to the East Storage Room.

Now that Claire has access to the East Storage Room, located on the third floor of the station, she can grab the second part.
