During the “totally normal” livestream that Media Molecule put on today for their upcoming sandbox game, Dreams, the company announced that the Dreams Creator Beta will go live tomorrow on Dec 19.
If you are signed up for Media Molecule’s newsletter, you’ll be receiving an invite to the beta. Yes, that means if you have not been subscribed to the newsletter, you won’t be able to have access until Jan 4, 2019, when the beta becomes available for everyone.
During the livestream, Media Molecule showed off what players will be getting themselves into once they jump into the beta. The developers stress that creators should definitely play the entire tutorial before attempting to create anything in Dreams. They want to make sure that people fully understand how to create, play, and share.
The beta for Dreams has been floating around for the past two years or so since it was promised to release back in 2016. This year, Media Molecule have kept insisting time and time again that the beta would still come in 2018, and lo and behold, they actually did it.
Keep in mind that the Dreams beta will come to an end on Jan 21, giving players a good amount of time to try out the creator tools.
Dreams is set to release exclusively on PS4 sometime in 2019.
