The game will launch for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on March 20, 2019.

The publisher also released a trailer, which you can enjoy below, but it’s basically just the first promotional video with the release date added at the end.

If you’re not familiar with this popular crossover series, Super Robot Wars include deep simulation RPG gameplay mixing several popular mecha properties that nostalgic anime fans will know and love.

This new chapter includes several newcomers among the IP featured like Cowboy Bebop, Magic Knight Rayearth, Expelled from Paradise, and Arcadia of My Youth: Endless Orbit SSX.

Unfortunately, all those licenses also mean that it’s unlikely that we’ll ever get a western release, but it’s coming to South-East Asia with English subtitles, which is the next best thing.

If you want to see more, you can also enjoy a metric ton of screenshots released a few weeks ago, showing pretty much all the series involved. If you’re a fan of mecha and sci-fi anime, this is pretty much an unmissable release, and it fits the Nintendo Switch rather well considering that it’s not exactly graphically demanding, and the mission structure is good for portability.
