Fans of the God Eater games have reason to be excited today. Bandai Namco’s upcoming entry in the action RPG series, God Eater 3, has a demo coming out in January according to a tweet from the official account of the franchise.
This demo is not available yet, as it will be ready to download and play on PS4 from Jan. 11th through the 13th of 2019. A number of features will be on display, including a sampling of single and multiplayer missions, as well as a first look at the character creation system. Unfortunately, created characters and progress from the trial will not carry over to the main game upon release.
God Eater 3 is already out in Japan, with the rest of the world waiting for the international PS4 and PC release date of Feb. 8, 2019. A Japanese demo has been released previously for the game, but this is the first time the game will be publically playable without the use of a Japanese PlayStation Network account.
