How to Get Technical Data and What it Does in Fallout 76
Today we’re here to help explain how to get Technical Data and what it does in Fallout 76.
Fallout 76 has a wealth of items for you to uncover. Some are valuable components used for crafting, others are high value commodities and then there are the items that leave you stumped, usually because they’re related to a quest you haven’t started yet. Technical Data is one such item.
The short and sweet version is that Technical Data is a quest specific item.
As you progress through the main quest line and encounter the Brotherhood of Steel, you’ll be tasked with bringing them Technical Data that you collect over the course of your travels, storing it in specific caches for them.
Though it is a quest specific item, there are a number of ways you can find Technical Data in Fallout 76. Some locations will have it stored in containers for you to loot, mixed in among other items and junk. Other times, it can be found on the corpses of enemies both player and computer controlled.
Regardless, once you have some, you can bring it to the Brotherhood of Steel cache that will be marked on your map as part of the quest.
Once you’ve done this and completed the quest, you can take it on again as many times as you like, rinsing and repeating to gain more experience with each completion.
Hopefully this clears up what Technical Data is and how to use it. Fallout 76 is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For more on the game, check outer Fallout 76 wiki for everything you need to know about the title’s systems, secrets and more.
