Streamed through Ubisoft’s official YouTube account, the trailer gives a brief overview of what players can expect from the title. After Aurora, a young princess, falls ill and appears to die, her father becomes despondent and falls into his own illness. And yet, in the ancient land of Lemuria, Aurora awakens and finds herself capable of wielding new powers and abilities, and joined by several of the land’s denizens in a quest to restore balance to the land by reclaiming the sun, moon and stars. This will be easier said than done though, as they are all in the clutches of Umbra, Queen of the Night, who also holds a magic mirror that could be her only chance to return to her world and rouse her father from death’s door.

The full trailer can be viewed down below.

Originally released in 2014, Child of Light has received heavy praise from fans and critics alike for its music and art style. Many also praised the turn-based combat and story, the latter of which which took turns and twists that were unexpected, yet welcome. A sequel has been teased in the years since its release, though no firm announcement has been made at this time.

Child of Light is now available on the Nintendo Switch for $19.99, and continues to be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
