Black Desert Online, the popular Korean MMO that has become a huge hit in the West, has announced its Xbox One beta for November 8. The beta will last from November 8 until 12, while mostly serving as a stress test to see how the 10 million-user strong title performs on the console.
As advertised during the MMO’s official port announcement in 2017, the game will support 4K visuals on Xbox One X. Gameplay and design-wise, Black Desert Online is a sandbox-orientated RPG that was lauded for its leveling and world design, but not so much for its end-game content.
Developer Pearl Abyss released a statement regarding the remaster, which implied that the game is the best MMO on controller ever:
Captured in stunning 4K quality, Black Desert for Xbox One was first revealed on-stage at the Microsoft press conference at E3 2017 and will feature console-exclusive gameplay from its PC counterpart, Black Desert Online, which counts for more than 10 million players worldwide. Built from the ground-up for console, Black Desert aims to achieve the most fluid and responsive MMORPG gameplay that’s possible with a controller interface.

No official release date has been teased as of yet, but the state of the beta should act as a strong indication of how far along the development cycle is.
