Madden NFL 19 Beats out Fortnite for Top-Promoted Video Game in July

This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

Madden NFL 19 tops promotion rankings for the month of July 2018 beating out some heavy-hitters like Fortnite and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, with a total of 54 promos, according to SpdRn, an NPD group company that releases monthly news round-ups such as top-selling games and top social impressions for the video game industry. Their research shows the top five promoted games based on the total number of promos, which you can see below:

What’s the most interesting to come out of this is that while Madden NFL 19 released just a few weeks ago, it still managed to reach the top of the list for July. EA has also been pushing FIFA 18, even though it released almost an entire year ago. Fortnite being on Switch, mobile devices, and probably in the homes of every teenage child right now makes it not very surprising to see it being promoted at such a high rate. Meanwhile, Ubisoft is preparing for the release of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, which comes out later this year in October and Capcom’s Monster Hunter: World released earlier this year in January with its PC release just launching earlier this month.

Madden NFL 19 is now out and available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We here at Twinfinite thought that the title was great and while it didn’t surpass the improvements that its past iteration managed to bring to the table, it featured plenty of improvements that provided tons of fun for NFL fans.
