Square Enix Announces The Quiet Man

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Today at their E3 Press Conference, Square Enix announced a new game, The Quiet Man. There have been no details given on the game, aside from a mixed live-action/game trailer which showcased a deaf character fighting two men in an alleyway.

The trailer itself has three main elements. At first, there is an introductory period, and then the trailer jumps into a brief live-action portion, before slowly transitioning into game footage, as the man beats up the thugs in the alleyway. At the end of the trailer, there is a sudden jump back into live-action before the end.

Not much is known about this game, and we will have to wait until Aug. for more details. All we can gather at this time is from the YouTube trailer. The Square Enix UK channel uploaded the trailer today with this description:

“THE QUIET MANâ„¢ delivers an immersive story driven cinematic action experience seamlessly blending high-production live action, realistic CG and pulse-pounding action gameplay. Embark on an adrenaline-fueled motion picture like experience which can be completed in one sitting.”

While we don’t really know what this means, we will surely get more information in August.
