If you’re looking forward to trying out Tripwire Interactive’s chilling multiplayer zombie shooter but just haven’t taken the plunge when it comes to purchasing it yet, you might want to take part in this weekend’s free play promotion. The game is free to try out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold members right now, from today through June 25.

The free weekend will let you try out the new Summer Sideshow: Treacherous Skies Update, which will indeed be playable. There are a ton of zeds and other freaks out to get you, and it’s your goal to create some truly ludicrous gibs as you shred through all the enemies in your wake, whether with others or on your lonesome. It’s not an easy game, we’ll tell you that much, but it’s oh so satisfying when you make it through and conquer all the enemies around you. It’s also super gory, which is a boon for any of you horror fans out there.

And if you’ere trying out the game on PC, you can grab Killing Floor 2 on Steam for a whopping 60% off during the Steam Summer Sale, which just went live today. It’s not free to play on PC, but it’s still worth picking up at a sharply discounted price of $15.99 instead of $39.99.

Looking to get started? You can jump online now and start the extermination of all the monsters out to get you. Just one brief warning, though — it’s not a game for the faint of heart.
