How Long Does it Take to Beat Darkest Dungeon? What You Need to Know

How Long Does it Take to Beat Darkest Dungeon?

Recommended Videos

The rogue-like RPG Darkest Dungeon can be a blast to play, but much like its characters, players may wonder just how long they’ll be trapped in the umbra of sewers, forests and catacombs. While it varies based on the player’s party configuration, skill and dumb luck, a typical run-through of the game ranges from 40 to 50 hours. Should players also play through the game’s additional content like the Crimson Court DLC, this will increase by 20 to 30 hours, totaling 60 to 80 hours of playtime.

Of course, these figures change should the player take part in the game’s many optional side quests or grinding for character experience. Should players choose to take their time and power up their character, or cut their way through each and every available quest scattered across the game’s many areas, this can add roughly 20 hours to the final count for a playtime of 100 to 120 hours.

Darkest Dungeon is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
