Evan is ousted from his throne by a shadowy organization, and with the help of new friends has to rebuild his kingdom from scrath. The trailer, which you can see below, has a good amount of new footage showing the start of Evan’s journey. We also see a couple new enemies including an imposing Black Knight and some kind of giant demon or creature that Evan will encounter multiple times. Subsequent character trailers will focus on Roland and Tani, and each of their relationships with Evan.

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is due out on March 23 for PlayStation 4 and PC. In addition to these new character trailers Bandai Namco has already released a number of behind the scenes videos on the game. Make sure you take a look at the different ones covering the game’s characters, music, and kingdom building mode. You can also see some of our hands-on impressions of Ni No Kuni II’s improved combat, from last year’s E3.
