Xbox One owners, get ready.
pubg, switch shoulders

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is finally dated for Xbox One, and it’ll be settling down on the console on Dec. 12. If you’ve been waiting for the game to make its way from PC to Xbox One, your wish has finally been granted, if you can wait another month or so.

The announcement comes today following a special livestream from the PUBG developers themselves during an event at Paris Games Week. The Xbox One release will also bring special limited edition cosmetic packs players can pick up exclusively for the system. You’ll be able to purchase the PUBG Warrior Pack, PUBG Accessory Pack, and the PUBG Tracksuit Pack, though at present there are no plans for any additional in-game purchases to be featured in the Xbox One release.

In addition to releasing the game on consoles this December, Bluehole announced the version 1.0 will be launching on PC later that month as well. There wasn’t a concrete date given for the release just yet, but it’s a safe bet it’ll be coming in time for the holidays.

While both games will feature similar content upon their launch, the developers did note that there will be differences between the two with separate roadmaps for both as time wears on. Ultimately, the goal is to make sure both versions align with each other in terms of features and quality.
