Latest Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Trailer Features Cartoon Nazi Superhero, Blitzmensch

We have a feeling BJ Blazkowicz isn't going to like this

A new trailer for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a world-building, propaganda-filled, Nazi-hero touting cartoon that gives you a great feel for the kind of tone set throughout the game itself. Instead of showing off a ton of gameplay footage or even showcasing more of the characters in the game, this trailer simply serves as a clever way to make gamers understand the kind of messages that have protagonist BJ Blazkowicz so fed up with this alternate version of America.

The entire trailer is made to look like an old cartoon as it tells the story of an average man who suddenly found himself in the shoes of a superhero. Blitzmensch is a Nazi superhero who promises to save the world from the evils of “capitalism, communism and degenerates.” The trailed even unveils some of Blitzmensch’s biggest foes — Money Grubber, Proletariat-Man and Mr. Yankee Monkey. In this Nazi-controlled version of America, this man is heralded as a true hero but Blazkowicz certainly doesn’t seem to agree. Towards the end of the trailer, we hear the rebellious freedom fighter scream that he’ll be damned if he has to raise kids in a world raised by Nazi scum. That’s basically the cue for some brief, fast paced gameplay clips that show off some serious firepower, tons of explosions and the usual Wolfenstein-brand gore that wraps everything up with a violent little bow.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is slated to release on October 27 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
