New Life Is Strange: Before the Storm Gameplay Video Features David and Chloe’s Relationship

Stepdouche returns.

David was introduced as Chloe’s stepfather in the original Life Is Strange series, and it looks like we’ll be seeing more of him in the upcoming prequel series, Before the Storm. Square Enix and Deck Nine have uploaded a new nine-minute gameplay video showing off an early game interaction between the two characters, and you can check it out down below. Of course, if you’re trying to avoid all story spoilers, don’t click on it.

The video shows a time before David and Joyce got married, but Chloe clearly has her misgivings about him. The two are still constantly at loggerheads with each other, which is to be expected, considering the fact that Chloe’s never really gotten over her father’s passing. It should be fun to see how David’s reactions to Chloe develop over the course of this series.

Life Is Strange: Before the Storm is set to be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 31 with its debut episode.
