The “action building” game allows up to four players online to collect resources from the fully destructible environment and build a giant fort to defend against waves of monsters. There are four distinct classes to choose from, and hundreds of exotic weapons to craft. Check out some gameplay in the E3 2017 trailer below.

Originally revealed in 2011, the game has been in a closed alpha phase since 2014. Fortnite will be free-to-play when the game enters open beta sometime during 2018, but purchasing one of the four packages, starting at $39.99, in Early Access gives buyers loot packs and other in-game rewards. Those who pre-order will be able to start playing four days earlier on July 21, alongside a Storm Master Weapon Pack.

Fortnite is now available for pre-order on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and through Epic Games’ own game launcher for PC and Mac.
