Developer Deck 13 Interactive’s upcoming dystopian action-RPG The Surge is coming on May 16. To make the wait a bit more bearable, a Launch Trailer has been released, featuring the game’s main character, Warren. Watch as he fights his way through machines in the beautiful cinematic piece. Though no new gameplay is shown, the wait is nearly over.
The Surge is an action-RPG with a unique take on combat. Taking place in a world with much more advanced technology than our own, players must traverse a world in decay as a price for tech. Looting is the most unique part of The Surge, as players can target specific parts of their enemies. Depending on how you fight, what becomes available as loot after combat differs greatly depending on technique and playstyle. Loot is then used to upgrade the exoskeletons that players wear into battle.
The Surge makes its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 16.
