Yooka-Laylee: How to Use Switches Underwater

How to Use Switches Underwater in Yooka-Laylee

Recommended Videos

There are a lot of different puzzles, items, and moves to learn in the retro-inspired platform Yooka-Laylee but one you will need is called Bubble Buddy. This ability allows this dynamic duo to form a bubble around them and walk along the bottom of rivers or lakes. Not only is this useful for traversal, but it allows players to throw switches underwater with no issue so you’ll want to make sure to obtain Bubble Buddy.

In order to acquire this move players will need to speak with Trowzer in the Hivory Towers Hub World as he will gift this ability to players for free. However, his location is random so you may need to do a bit of exploring, but once you’ve located him simply speak to this reptile in order to obtain this skill. Once you have it players can not only throw switches underwater but also advance to the third world in Yooka-Laylee. To activate this power jump into a body of water and then hold R2/RT to sink under the water and move around. We recommend picking up Bubble Buddy as soon as you can because it will make exploring far easier and come at no real cost to the player.
