Outlast 2’s New Launch Trailer is Both Spooky and Bloody

Get ready to run and hide.

Red Barrels has just released a new trailer for Outlast 2 ahead of its official launch tomorrow. The trailer shows off some of the game’s creepy environments, and gives us an idea of the new horrors we’ll be dealing with. You can check out the new trailer down below.

The first Outlast had us take control of investigative journalist Miles Upshur, who found himself trapped in an asylum full of psychotic patients and evidence of weird science experiments. The game also received a DLC called Whistleblower, which explained how Miles got wind of the weird goings on at the asylum in the first place. Outlast 2 takes place in a completely new and different setting, but the core gameplay mechanics remain the same. You have a camcorder that helps to record everything that happens to you, and you’ll have to run and hide if an enemy spots you. You can’t fight back, and that’s how the game builds its horror.

Outlast 2 is set to be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 25. Our review will be up soon.
