Outlast 2 Devs Begin Kickstarter for Special “Underscares” Diapers

"Fear for your underwear no more with Underscares."

Yes, you read that right. Red Barrels, the developer behind Outlast and the upcoming Outlast 2 has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a “companion diaper” called Underscares which will allow gamers to play Outlast 2 without having to worry about messing their pants.

As the Kickstarter page reads: “After the release of Outlast 1, we received numerous reports of soiled undergarments and unprepared anuses. So we, the team at Red Barrels, decided to come up with a solution that will let every gamer play Outlast 2 without worrying about their skivvies. Fear for your underwear no more with Underscares.”

The page insists that these Underscare underwear are “100% real and inspired by the Outlast community.” You can check out the following video to find out more:

It’s good to see that Red Barrels is looking out for its customers but we can’t help but feel this paints us gamers as a cowardly bunch! There are several donation tiers, each with their own perks and bonuses.

As it stands, the Kickstarter has a total of 169 backers who have donated over $12,000 Canadian dollars. The ultimate goal is $40,000 and the project still has 15 more days to go. Will you be donating?

Outlast 2 is set to be released in early 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It looks like they’re really not messing around when it comes to scares.
