Yo-Kai Watch 2 Coming to North America this September

Round 2. Fight!

For those of you who couldn’t get enough of Yo-Kai Watch, prepare for a second assault as the Japanese sequel is coming to America. Yo-Kai Watch 2 is set to release in the US on September 30, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. This new addition will include more areas to explore outside of Springdale, a shiny new watch, the ability to travel through time, and over a 100 new Yo-Kai. Much like the Pokemon series, there be two different versions of the game, Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls. Each version of this game will include a rare Yo-Kai that can only be discovered in the corresponding title. There will also be a mobile title releasing dubbed Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble, which will be more puzzle oriented.

Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing stated: “After being such a massive sensation in Japan, it’s great to see the US start to embrace the mischievous and lovable Yo-kai. We’re excited to continue bringing fun Yo-kai experiences stateside this year.”

Yo-Kai Watch

Outside of the game, both Hasbro and Disney XD are expanding their Yo-Kai collection as well. Disney is moving forward with the second season of the Yo-Kai Watch television series, which will premiere this summer. If you need to catch up, the first season will be released on DVD over the summer and is currently available to stream on Netflix.

Hasbro has a new line of Yo-Kai Watch toys on the way, such as the watch worn by Nate in the upcoming second season of the animated show. This new watch will include a Yo-Motion Technology that will apparently bring the Yo-Kai to life in new and exciting ways. They will also be releasing new plush dolls, various accessories, electronic figures, and Yo-Kai Watch Medals. If that isn’t enough, you can always pick up the new collectible trading cards set to release as well.
