Hideo Kojima’s New PS4 Project is an Action Game for AAA Fans

We will all be wowed. Presumably.

In an interview with Famitsu, Hideo Kojima finally divulged some details about his upcoming project. When Kojima Productions was first unveiled, we learned that the studio’s first project would be developed in an exclusive partnership with Sony, meaning the game would be a PS4 exclusive.

In the interview, Kojima states that fans of games like Uncharted and The Division will be able to enjoy the action game that he has in store for us. While he concedes that the game may not seem that impressive when first unveiled, he promises that fans will not be disappointed when they actually see and get to play it.

“It’s an amazing game. We’re thinking about everything all at once, including the plot, characters, and game systems. Since certain parts are fairly new, we cannot help but experiment. While not to say that it’s open-world, users who enjoy today’s AAA games (The Division and Uncharted, etc.) will be able to easily enjoy it. When it is announced, you might think ‘that’s not that outstanding,’ but you’ll understand when you see it and play it. The genre is action.”

Thanks, Gematsu, for the translation.
