The free DLC weekend will begin this Friday, April 1 at 10:00am PDT and through Monday, April 4 at 10:00am PDT. It’ll give PlayStation 4 users an entire weekend to try out the maps before purchasing the expansion.

Awakening, comes with four new maps – Skyjacked, Splash, Gauntlet, and Rise – and a new Zombies chapter all about time travel called “Der Eisendrache”.

In related Call of Duty news, fans will be interested to learn that a number of reports are saying the next Call of Duty game will be set in space. We’ve seen recent titles set in the not-too-distant future, but if reports are to be believed, the next game could be totally sci-fi.

Did you buy the Awakening expansion already? If not will you be trying it out this weekend? Feel free to let us know in the comments below.
