One of gaming’s many highlights in 2013 was the release of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. With a charming main character, less Abstergo nonsense and some of the most satisfying gameplay the series has had to date — this game showcased brilliance time and time again.

Now that we get a break from the franchise this year, Ubisoft can focus on what made Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag work so well as they move forward. Even without a brand new game this year, fans will be getting the Assassin’s Creed movie just in time for Christmas.
