The report states that Microsoft is considering the machine after similar plans were scrapped near the launch of the Xbox One. This slimmer Xbox would play Windows store games and be focused at competing with the Apple TV.

The report also states that if Microsoft moves forward with this project, “it will not launch until the second half of the year and have a much lower price-point than the Xbox One.”
