Mino Monsters 2, a sequel to the widely popular original (somewhat reminiscent of Pokemon) has recorded a $1.7m revenue in its launch month. The game was released on the App Store and Google Play on Oct. 8, and has since made a staggering profit in its first thirty days.

CEO of Mino Games (which has a staff of only 10, by the way), Josh Buckley, had this to say:

“We see this early success is a validation of the unique approach we are taking to bringing high production quality, original games to the market.”

Buckley has also announced that players can expect added features to come to Mino Monsters 2 early in 2016. These include guilds, weekly live events, and a “deeper” end-game.
