Yooka-Laylee Player Finds Glitch That Lets You Skip Half the Game

Yooka-Laylee Preview, xbox one, april 2017, video game, releases, update

Yooka-Laylee speedrun times will likely get a whole lot shorter.

A glitch that is sure to help some Yooka-Laylee speedrunners has been found by YouTuber MilsTailsPrower, allowing you to break through a wall and fly right to the end boss and skip approximately half of the game.

By falling into some acid and pulling off some careful maneuvering, Yooka and Laylee can blend in behind a wall and soar using Laylee’s flappy flight ability to fly up past the Pagies door blocking the final area.

You would still need to progress through the game a decent amount to pull off this glitch, as you would need to unlock the character abilities and upgrade the power meter enough to fly up past the door. Knowing the dedication of speedrunners, an even shorter path will likely be found soon. You can check out the leaderboards for the current best Yooka-Laylee speedruns here.

Yooka-Laylee released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on April 11. It is also coming to Switch sometime in 2017, although a confirmed release date has yet to be announced.
