At The Game Awards on Thursday night, 343 Studios revealed their plans for the Halo 5: Guardians December DLC release, which they have titled the “Cartographer’s Gift.” All of their mentioned content, such as new Arena and Warzone maps, and new armor, have been confirmed as FREE when the update is released.

This announcement has also confirmed rumors of the return of the M41 Rocket Launcher, as seen heat-seeking and destroying a banshee in the trailer below. The M41 has been the main rocket launcher in every Halo game until Guardians, where it’s been replaced by a new M57 Rocket Launcher.

The update is expected to bring new REQs, such as weapons and assassinations, to spice up your combat in the new Warzone multiplayer mode. The trailer also announced that 343 Industries is building up focus on its eSports presence, declaring that its World Champion prize pool is going to be increased to a cool $2 million. All up, this is great news for Xbox One owners and avid fans of the worldwide phenomenon that is Halo.
