Far Cry Primal: How to Craft and Throw Bombs

Just don't go kamikaze with them.
This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

Far Cry Primal’s crafting system is robust and will have you crafting prehistoric versions of the Far Cry weapons you’ve come to know and love. One such weapon is the classic projectile of grenades. They’re now makeshift bombs that you need to unlock to craft.

Sting Bomb – For the first kind of bomb you can craft, you’re going to want to upgrade the village cavern. This is done by going to the icon of your character’s face and heading to the upgradeable stones marked for Takkar. It will lead to you needing some resources before you can upgrade it and presto, you’ll unlock the ability to craft Sting Bombs. You’ll need a bee cluster to craft one, as this bomb will unleash a swarm of bees where ever you throw it.

Berserk Bomb – To unlock the ability to make Berserk Bombs, you need to capture the Udam Fort. With Berserk Bombs, you’ll be able to make human enemies go berserk. This causes them to attack others without thinking.

Fire Bomb – To unlock Fire Bombs for crafting, you’re going to need to capture the Izila Fort. Fire Bombs are exactly as they sound. Throw them and the area will be ignited in flames.

Once you have bombs in your disposal, throwing them is as easy as hitting L1 or the left bumper and highlighting the bomb you want to use. Then, simply aim and press R1 or the right bumper and bombs away. Don’t forget to craft a bomb belt if you want to carry a bunch at once.
