Today seems to be the day of season pass announcements, with Fallout 4’s DLC plans and now Dark Souls 3. The page for a Dark Souls 3 Season Pass went live on the Xbox Store today, giving a few brief details.
There’s no price listed yet, and just a brief description. It seems that two DLC packs will be hitting Dark Souls 3 though. Here’s the description from the page,
“Expand your DARK SOULSâ„¢ III experience with the Season Pass and gain access to 2 epic DLC packs at a discounted price. Challenge yourself with new maps, bosses, enemies and additional weapon and armor sets. Prepare yourself once more and embrace the darkness.”
It’s not really a surprise that Dark Souls 3 will be getting DLC, as each game in the series has seen add-on support. Bloodborne recently received its expansion called ” The Old Hunter,” and Dark Souls 2 had a trio of DLC packs. A recent leak also revealed that the first Dark Souls would come as a pre-order bonus for the new game, and the game would be getting backwards compatibility on Xbox One.
Dark Souls 3 is set to release on April 12 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. You can check out the games ominous opening cinematic here, and also look at some guy that was able to beat the first Dark Souls without taking a single hit. Are you excited to see Dark Souls 3 getting DLC? What have you thought of the previous Souls game’s add-ons?
