The next Danganronpa game will not return to Hope’s Peak Academy. The story of Hope’s Peak Academy will conclude next year, but will be told in a completely different format.

Spike Chunsoft revealed the first trailer for New Danganronpa V3: Everyone’s New Semester of Killing at a press conference. The game takes place in the Gifted Inmates Academy with a new cast of characters. The Class Trial mechanics will return along with a mechanic where you must lie to dismantle other’s arguments.

The press conference also confirmed a new anime series, Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak Academy. This anime will conclude the story of the first two games.
