Almost two years ago, when the Nintendo Switch first launched, fans and early adopters were shocked by the fact that the hybrid console wouldn’t come with any kind of video streaming apps. No Netflix, no YouTube, No Hulu, and not even Twitch would be present on the system. People have seemed to ignore these missing applications, solely focusing on the games that the system has to offer. But now, Nintendo seems to be complying with our requests and slowly adding more and more video content.
Just today, Nintendo –out of what feels like nowhere– has dropped the YouTube application onto the Switch eShop, letting you browse the website to watch your favorite streamers, check out some walkthroughs, or to just laugh at the same vine compilations over and over again with some of your friends.
Whatever you end up doing on the ol’ YouTube, it’s so dang nice to finally have it on my Nintendo Switch. Better late than never I always liked to say. You guys don’t know how many times I’ve been forced to unplug my Switch just to move over to my PS4 in order to watch Netflix and YouTube. Thanks for this Nintendo, but next, we really need Netflix, like yesterday, come on.
