Today Microsoft presented Windows 11, and part of that presentation was about gaming.

We get to hear from head of Game Creator Experience & Ecosystem Sarah Bond.

Bond boasted “superior graphics” thanks to Auto HDR that automatically upgrades games’ color and lighting. Of course, you need an HDR display.

The next pillar is “Amazing Speed” via Direct Storage, which also appeared first on Xbox Series X and S.

Of course, Game Pass and its cloud gaming integration was part of the presentation, with a look at the many games included in the service.

We also get a trailer that is basically a montage of footage of upcoming games we saw at E3.

Interestingly, while this wasn’t mentioned in the gaming presentation, Microsoft will include support for Android apps via Amazon’s Appstore. Of course, this has rather large implications for gaming as well, considering how many games are available only on mobile.

Compatibility appears to be achieved via Intel Bridge tech, so we’ll have to see whether it’ll be available on all PCs or only on Intel-powered ones.
