The studio released a reveal trailer for the Nintendo Switch port during the TennoCon convention, an annual event with panels, contests, and other booths dedicated to the title. No release date was given for the Nintendo Switch version, though developer Panic Button will be working on the port. Panic Button has helped develop other titles for the Nintendo Switch, including Bethesda’s Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Doom, and Psyonix’s Rocket League.

Warframe first debuted for PC in 2013 before making its way to PlayStation 4 in late-2013 and Xbox One in 2014. The free-to-play title is consistently in the top 10 of popular games on Steam by player count, currently in fourth, and has over 38 million registered players. Digital Extremes teased the possibility of Warframe coming to Nintendo’s platform last March.

Digital Extremes also announced three major updates coming to Warframe at the convention. The Fortuna update adds an open landscape to Venus sometime in 2018, while the in-development Railjack update allows deeper spacecraft customization and space battles with a squad of up to four players manning one ship. The studio teased the third update, titled The New War, with a short trailer. Check out the full recap of TennoCon 2018 on the game’s official website.
